Junior football under 14’s

Under 14’s Coaches 2016

Coaching Coordinator Andrew Goss

I have been involved at Pascoe Vale since 1994. I played senior football for ten years and for 3 of those seasons I was senior club captain. After a couple of years as a supporter, I then had a senior coaching role and then the role as senior runner. The last 4 years I have coached at under 10, 12 and 14’s.

A-Side Coach Tony Paragalli

I have been involved with the Pascoe Football club as a player/coach and administrator since 1984, next year will be my 32nd year.

As a junior I played in a premiership side in under 16. From 1990 to 2006 I played both seniors and reserves football at Pascoe Vale, playing in two reserves premierships. One as Co-Captain.

I coached the Pascoe Vale reserves side to a Grand Final in 2000.

I was also part of the Committee in the early 1990s

More recently I have been involved with the juniors at Pascoe Vale as a runner and last year as an assistant coach.

Professional I was the VP for the world’s largest Shipping for nearly 10 years where my focus was on building teams and developing staff globally, I believe the same principals apply to sports and athletes when they are developing.

More recently, I own my own Traffic Management Company with over 160 staff, again the focus is on development of individuals and teams.

Tony Paragalli.

  • Ladder:…………………….. Eighth position (out of 8 teams)
  • Win/Loss Ratio:…………. 3 Wins / 11 Losses
  • Best & Fairest:…………… Cameron Kennedy
  • Runner Up:……………….. Andrew Capuana

Coaches Review:The first team in Under 14”s was graded in division 1 which was always going to be a big challenge for the team. Even though we only won 3 games we were very competitive in most games throughout the season and the boys showed they were able to compete against the best in U14’s.Our standout performance was definitely beating 3rd placed Hillside by 6 goals on a day when everything seemed to go right. Unfortunately in the next couple of games we had injuries to key players against teams we thought we were a chance to defeat and get on a bit of a winning run. It was good to finish with a good win against Craigeburn in the last round.

Our captain Cameron Kennedy took out the Best and Fairest after a fantastic season. Andrew Capuana was second, with Ishmael Gibbard coming in third place. Well done to all three boys who had standout seasons for the team.

During the season Lachlan Eilers, Matt Dunne, David Gennaccaro, and Luca Brisci all achieved the 100 game milestone and Ishmael Gibbard brought up his 50th game. Congratulations to these boys on these milestones.

Twenty of the players from our team go up to under 16’s next season and hopefully the experience of playing Div 1 in under 14’s will hold them in good stead to make the step up in grades. There is heaps of talent amongst these boys and if they train hard and stick together the future looks bright for the Pascoe Vale footy club.

Finally a big thanks to assistant coaches Vinnie Campisi and Daniel Brisci and team manager Darren Conlin for their hard work during the season.

Thanks for an enjoyable season of footy.

Andrew Goss.
