Everygreen and inspirational captain Ross Terranova, ably assisted by Rob Pianalto and Dom Barravecchio, led the Panthers to the 2003/04 premiership in what was considered the match of the year, with the Panthers prevailing outright to win by two wickets.   Pianalto had a great game with both bat and ball, making two half centuries (67 and 66 not out) and guiding the team to a memorable, yet hard fought win in the end by putting on a match winning ninth wicket partnership of 26 with Zane Moylan to win the trophy.   In the Panthers first innings of 163, it was Pianalto and Tony Martinello (21) the only players scoring above 20, while Steve Fugard took 6-40, Pianalto 2-5 and Moylan 2-33 in Glenroy’s first score of just 86.   In Glenroy’s second innings of 201, Moylan took 4-47 and man of the match Pianalto 3-29, leaving the Panthers the task of scoring 125 to win outright.   This was achieved with Robbie Pianalto again coming to the rescue, and only supported by Glenn Hermansson with 16 and Zane with 10 not out.   Ross Terranova took eight dismissals for the match – seven catches and one stumping.
